I put together this design as a “logo” for a 5k sponsored by a local Traverse City church. As in past projects I did my best to incorporate the West Side compass rose into the design.

I found this vintage illustration and re-purposed it with some subtle additions.

I created this set of John Hughes movie posters for this year’s Traverse City Film Festival. John is one of my all-time favorite writers and filmmakers whose work includes brat-pack classics like The Breakfast Club, Sixteen Candles, Pretty in Pink and other timeless comedies like Ferris Beuller, National Lampoon’s Vacation and Home Alone.

Right now I’m working on a new portfolio site specifically for illustration, while the main site will continue to feature my business design solutions like websites, print and motion design.

In the spirit of “tis better to give than receive,” I’m celebrating my birthday today by giving away the first of (what I hope) will be many free wallpapers for iPad and iPhone and iPod Touch.
