This is my most recent submission to Design by Humans.

I call it Y2K

It really turned out nothing like I had planned. Once I had the original idea for a 10-year anniversary Y2K shirt, I initially thought it would be a hand-drawn type concept inspired by some of my daughter’s recent hand-lettering.

A happy little accident resulted in this overlayed lettering and a challenging new style for me personally.

I enjoy artists like Kenneth Noland.

I really appreciate anything that is simultaneously very simple and very challenging.

Several of my favorite recent illustrations. Some are quite personal… all are done in a minimalist style with lots of wonderful negative space.

Found vintage book cover: A Golden Guide Birds

The album cover is a huge part of pop culture history. Here are a few of my favorites from this year.

Created a new identity and banner illustration for my wife’s brand new Etsy shop: Buckets of Moonbeams
The store will feature all her hand-knit and other hand-made creations… all totally cool and super-functional.

New website for the Petoskey, Michigan non-profit organization Foundations for Families.

Created this new blog design (including original illustrations) for Thunderbeard and Lightning.

Logo design for an herbologist and alternative health specialist in northern Michigan.

Poster design for a fashion show event in Saginaw, Michigan. Event was promoted as a fun time out for the girls while their husbands disappear for the opening of hunting season.
