Troy DeShano is an artist and illustrator from Traverse City, Michigan.

After battling cancer throughout his twenties, Troy created Strong Odors to share his story through both writing and illustration. Since then, the blog has become more of a personal brand and a hub for his illustration portfolio, art, design products, and personal projects.

In 2011, he created Old & New Project with Jim LePage in an effort to redeem Biblical artwork from its current embarrassing conditions back to the great and honorable status with which it had been synonymous for centuries.

Troy's fine art work includes limited edition prints and unique mixed media paintings created with found materials—channeling the resourcefulness he's inherited from a long line of Michigan farmers.

You can follow Troy on Twitter and Facebook.

Troy is available to speak to both religious and secular youth and adult groups on a handful of topics including fear, faith, and finding inspiration in your life's most difficult trials.
